Beth earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing degree from St. Anselm College in Goffstown NH and obtained her first Master of Science degree in nursing from University of Massachusetts Boston. She has recently graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a second master’s degree in advanced practice mental health nursing.
For the last 15 years Beth has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Boston Children’s Hospital in a variety of settings working with children and adolescents struggling with advanced heart failure/chronic heart disease.
Beth’s interest in mental health and healthcare has been shaped by a multitude of experiences and learning opportunities at Boston Children’s Hospital. Throughout her work as a nurse practitioner in a medical setting, Beth observed the overlap between chronic/severe medical conditions and the mental health implications of living with these disorders. She also observed the lack of access for pediatric clients to find prescribers with the availability and expertise to manage psychiatric medications in children.
Beth is passionate about providing comprehensive psychiatric treatment to the pediatric/adolescent population utilizing a holistic approach with expert understanding of co-occurring chronic medical conditions.
In her free time Beth enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 young songs, running and spending time on the beach.
